Big Breasts, Wide Butt

Mo Yan is one of the most famous contemporary writers in the Chinese language.  He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2012, making him the first writer from mainland China to receive this award.  Currently, Mo Yan serves... as the deputy chairman of the Chinese Writers' Association.   
The novel "Big Breasts, Wide Butt" is a chronicle of the life of a sexually powerful, prolific, and wise woman from the late Qing dynasty to the era after Mao's death, which cannot leave anyone indifferent who opens this book.  The story of one family will tell about all the trials of the 20th century in China, about the strength of spirit of ordinary women from the people, and will also show the underbelly of communist society.
