Reading the Bible. Morning and Evening

The reader, turning the pages of this book each morning, will hear a "calm quiet voice" which, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, will convey the words of God to his soul. The human mind grows tired of monotony,... so we tried to make the methods of presentation in this book diverse: sometimes it was persuasion, then a monologue, then a conversation; telling our narrative from the first, second, or third person and using singular and plural forms, we wanted to avoid repetitions and standard clichés so that our reader would not get bored. We endeavored to make our book as interesting as possible, thus we selected extraordinary passages of Scripture and tried to shed light on questions that are usually not given due attention.
