The cheerful rogue Hodja Nasreddin, thanks to the writer Leonid Solovyov, became a true symbol of Uzbekistan. In the 1920s, Solovyov worked as a correspondent for the newspaper "Pravda Vostoka" and passionately collected Central Asian folklore. The legends and tales... about Hodja Nasreddin that he recorded formed the basis of the humorous story about the adventures of the trickster "The Disturber of the Peace" and the philosophical-lyrical "The Enchanted Prince". The graphic illustrations by the artist Stanislav Zabaulyev made the image of Nasreddin canonical.
