Alexander Green (real name: Alexander Stepanovich Grinevsky, 1880-1932) is a famous writer and poet. “Foreigner of Russian literature” - this is what literary critics nicknamed A. Green. Before becoming a writer, A. Green had to go through a difficult life... path. He tried many professions: a sailor on a steamship, a fisherman, a laborer. Began publishing in 1906. The extravaganza story “Scarlet Sails”, which glorified Alexander Green, was first published in 1923. “Poem in prose” - that’s what K. Paustovsky called this work.
