The Nutcracker and the Mouse King is a classic Christmas tale written by the great German writer Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann. On Christmas Eve, little Maria receives an unusual gift - a wooden Nutcracker designed for cracking nuts. It soon... becomes clear that the Nutcracker is not just a toy, but an enchanted prince who is in danger at the hands of the evil Mouse King and his army. The text of the work is adapted for beginners to learn German (levels A1-A2 – Grundstufe) and provided with commentaries. After the fairy tale, exercises with keys are offered. At the end of the book there is a dictionary of the vocabulary used, making it easier to read.
