The Ancients

Strange creatures are returning to life in London and Germany. They are the Ancients, angels who once failed to protect the Tree of Knowledge, and their awakening from centuries-old slumber will have consequences. In Africa, the colonial town of Essenwald... is in chaos as the only workers capable of laboring in the mind-consuming forest of Vorr disappear under its shadow. A special team led by Ismail, a former cyclops, sets out to search for them, but the forest does not easily relinquish those it considers its own. Meanwhile, in a remote hut, a local peasant finds a strange girl. Her origins are unknown, but she possesses powers beyond understanding. A conflict is looming; the old and the new, the human and the non-human will soon clash, and even Vorr himself begins to sense that danger threatens him.
