Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is the author of the immortal tale-allegory "The Little Prince". From a young age, the sky captivated the writer. He became a military pilot, survived his first plane crash, and after recovery began working in air mail... transport, flying over the Sahara Desert. The boundless sky gifted Saint-Exupéry with inspiration and a desire to write. However, the sky also took him away. He went missing during a reconnaissance mission. All the works in this collection are deeply personal to the writer. A pilot who crashed in the Sahara Desert meets a strange boy – the Little Prince. He arrived from asteroid B-612, where he lived alone, caring for a beautiful yet temperamental Rose. In the willful Rose, one can sense the image of the writer's wife, Consuelo, with whom he had passionate and complex relationships. The tale-allegory "The Little Prince" is published with the author's illustrations. Equally autobiographical are the works "Southern Mail" – Saint-Exupéry's first novel – and "Night Flight". In them, he portrayed the complex and dangerous life of pilots, his inner experiences, moral dilemmas, and the striving to find the right path.
