The Final Solution, or the Riddle at the End

In the midst of World War II, an eighty-nine-year-old elder, once a famous detective, lives out his days in Sussex County, having retired from work and interested only in his apiary. Suddenly, fate brings him together with a mute Jewish... refugee boy. The only thing that Linus has left from his previous life is a gray parrot, a Jaco. But what do the long strings of numbers that the bird utters mean? Secret codes of the SS? Or codes for accounts in Swiss banks? Or maybe it's all much simpler and scarier? A real hunt begins for the parrot belonging to the boy, and a murder occurs in the house where he lives…
