Old Testament Apocrypha

This book consists of the most outstanding works of Old Testament apocryphal literature. Among them is the 'Book of Enoch,' filled with esoteric allegories — one of the most significant apocrypha of the Old Testament, dedicated to the patriarch Enoch.... The collection also includes the 'Book of Jubilees,' or as it is also called, the 'Little Genesis' — an Old Testament apocrypha dedicated to the interpretation of the Book of Genesis, which introduces the Old Testament, and partly the Book of Exodus. The content of this apocrypha represents an ethical-apocalyptic treatise written in the name of each of the twelve patriarchs — the sons of the forefather Jacob — addressed to their brothers, sons-heirs, and their descendants. Each part of this collection of farewell instructions and prophecies is primarily dedicated to the glorification of some virtue or the condemnation of some vice.
