We are Slavs!

Maria Semyonova is a great master who has made her resonant mark in Russian literature. She created her own "quasi-Slavic" world, earning the gratitude and sincere admiration of millions of readers. Her pen has produced "The Swan Road," "Duel with... the Serpent," "Where the Forest Does Not Grow," "Valkyrie," "The Sword of the Dead," and many other novels. The most famous of them, "Wolfhound," has become a favorite book for many, which they reread and take with them on journeys, as if it were a piece of home. However, "the last of the Gray Dogs" would not have come into existence without its nameless alter ego, a Vyatich or Krivich, the hero of the popular encyclopedia "We are Slavs!" According to the writer, both books were created in parallel. Thus, the great myth-maker Maria Semyonova dispelled the myth that our ancestors silently sank into oblivion. The memory of them has been covered by the dust of centuries and archives; nevertheless, there would be enough information for more than one volume. Strictly speaking, the encyclopedia cannot be classified as a result of scientific research, primarily due to its emotional, vivid narrative — but perhaps this is how the book will be remembered by readers? Meanwhile, it contains serious factual material, mostly dedicated to paganism, which the author sees as the keys to understanding the spiritual and material world of the ancient Slavs. Mythology and pantheon, everyday life and customs, household items, weapons, crafts — this book can be read from any chapter and in any order with increasing interest. The edition contains more than 300 illustrations based on ethnographic sources.
