Welcome! Soon you will become an initiate, capable of creating and opening sigils - magical seals that trap spirits. And today you have a test: open the sigil, release the spirits and capture them again. Prove that you have mastered...
the mentors' lessons better than others!
Includes 56 cards
7 genera of 7 cards with numbers from 1 to 7.
7 spirit cards associated with a specific gender and number. They differ from other cards in their illustrations, gender color and numbers.
Preparing for the game
Thoroughly shuffle all the cards, including the spirit cards, then arrange them according to the diagram on the back of the rules. The resulting combination of cards is called a sigil. A card is considered available if there is no other card on top of it. Turn over such a card if it was face down. If a spirit card becomes available, place it face up next to the sigil. On their turn, players can capture such a spirit.
Progress of the game
On his turn, the player must take an available card from the sigil into his hand. The cards in your hand are kept secret from other players. After drawing a card, you can capture a free spirit (lying next to the sigil) or captured by another player. This is an optional action that can be performed once per turn in one of three ways:
To capture a free spirit near a sigil - play a set of three cards of the same kind as the spirit, or a set of three cards with the same number as the spirit (in a four-player game, you need to play a set of two cards). The cards are placed face up in front of you with the captive spirit on top of them.
Capture a spirit that has already been captured by another player - play a set of cards of the corresponding type or number containing exactly one more card than the other player's set. The spirit is placed on top of your played set. The cards from the other player's set remain face up in front of him.
Re-capture the spirit - add to the set of cards you have already played so that it has exactly one more card than the other player who captured the spirit. Take a spirit from another player's set and place it on top of your set that you just added. The cards from the other player's set remain face up in front of him.
End of the game
The winner will be the player who captured 5 spirits in a two-player game, 4 spirits in a three-player game, and 3 in a four-player game. Also, the game ends at the end of the turn of the player who took the last card from the sigil. In this case, the one who captivated the spirits more than the others wins. In the event of a tie, the winner is the player with the fewest cards in his hand.
Single player game
Shuffle the 7 spirit cards and the remaining cards separately. Then form a single deck by placing a random spirit card every 7 cards. Use the resulting deck to create a sigil of your choice.
Each turn, you must first remove one of the available sigil cards to the discard pile either face up (easy) or face down (advanced). You then take one available card into your hand and, if possible, captivate the spirit with a set of 3 or 4 cards.
You win if you capture all the spirits with sets of 3 cards (easy option) or if you capture 6 spirits with sets of 4 cards (advanced option). Only 3 spirits can be near the sigil at the same time. If the fourth spirit escapes from the sigil, it replaces one of the three available, which is sent to the discard pile and can no longer be captured in the current game. Game duration: from 20 minutes
Number of players: 1-4
